Asia Pacific. This year, Citi Asia Pacific was awarded Best Regional Bank
by Euromoney, making Citi the only financial institution to receive this

Citibank is the top card issuer in Asia Pacific, with almost 16 million card

retail branches and 600 consumer finance outlets, and over 2,000 ATMs.

In Q2, generated US$1.3 billion revenues for Consumer Banking
Opened 32 new branches and outlets since January
Acquired over 300,000 new card accounts since January
Introduced Citigold Global Banking in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India,
Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan
Launched India’s first “2-in-1” transit credit card in partnership with
Delhi Metrol Rail Corporation
Announced Hong Kong’s first contactless transit smart card in partnership
with Octopus
Granted regulatory approval to introduce debit cards in China
Launched the Philippine’s first payment mobile service for cardholders to
charge products and services through their mobile phones
In 2007:
Reported revenues of US$6.3 billion and net income of US$1.8 billion
Acquired Bank of Overseas Chinese in Taiwan, increasing Citi’s domestic
network from 11 to 66 branches. The acquisition also added 121 ATMs and more
than one million clients to Citi’s footprint in Taiwan
Opened 33 new branched across the region
